Visit Ngilai

Experience the Mathews Range

Staying in Ngilai Conservancy provides a unique chance to experience a place beyond the usual path of both tourists and residents alike, while directly supporting community conservation efforts.

Bush Camping in Ngilai

The conservancy offers three campsites set in breathtaking locations, each chosen for its vantage point and access to the landscape. Camp near natural pools, under canopies of ancient trees, with views across the Mathews Range.

This is authentic bush camping—simple, immersive, and unlike anything else in Kenya. Rangers provide a reassuring presence for safety and can guide you through the conservancy’s trails and wildlife areas.

What to Expect

A visit to Ngilai is genuinely off the beaten path. There are no luxury lodges or manicured trails—this is conservation country, raw and real. You’ll walk with rangers through landscapes that most visitors to Kenya never see, encounter wildlife in its natural corridors, and gain a first-hand understanding of what community-led conservation looks like on the ground.

Camping fees and guide fees go directly to supporting conservancy operations, ranger salaries, and community programs. Every visit is a direct contribution to conservation.
